Rules and Procedures
At 26 West Incubator we are committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming, productive, and respectful environment for our all our members, mentors, staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, and guests. These House Rules outline our expectations for behavior to maintain a safe and positive space.
NO SLEEPING, ONLY WORKING
We know productivity occurs at all hours. However, please save sleeping for home and working for the 26 West Incubator.
Please respect the space that you are using. If you move something around, return it to how you found it. If furniture is damaged or defaced, you will be held financially responsible to repair or replace it.
We love our furry friends, but we ask that you leave them at home.
To maintain privacy and personal boundaries, all members must ask for consent before taking any photographs that clearly highlight a small group or single person.
NO VIEWING OR SHARING LEWD OR ILLEGAL CONTENT
No member should participate in or view and share lewd or illegal content online or in person.
All members and their guests are reminded that 26 West Incubator is a shared space and as such please be mindful of your noise level and keep it to a minimum.
If you need to meet with your team, please reserve one of our three designated conference rooms using the Nexudus app. There are additional conference rooms within the 26 West Center that you can use on a case-to-case basis. Please contact the SCF 26 West Incubator’s staff to reserve rooms outside of the 26 West Incubator spaces. Please do not disturb anyone if they are in use.
The library is accessible on a first come first serve basis. Please be respectful of other members who may want to use the space. The books in the library are for your use and reference. Please return when finished and please do not remove them from the SCF 26 West Incubator.
All guests MUST be accompanied by a member.

Members & stakeholders are subject to follow SCF Code of Ethics and Conduct.
ENFORCEMENT OF VIOLATIONS
CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATION
Unacceptable behavior from any member, including event organizers, staff, and guests, will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to cease a violating behavior is expected to comply immediately or will be asked to leave the premises.
We may additionally decide to take any action we deem appropriate, up to and including, but not limited to, a temporary or permanent ban from the SCF 26 West Incubator building and community without warning and without refund of prepaid fees.
If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, harassment, or have any other concerns, please notify any SCF 26 West Incubator staff member or the event organizer as soon as possible.
If you see something, please speak up and report it.

If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating these House Rules, you should notify staff or event organizer with a concise description of your grievance.
Information Technology Terms of Service

By using or accessing the 26 West Center Internet connections and software, you agree to these terms of service.
Broadband Internet/Network Access
Your access to the connection is provided “as is” and “as available” at our discretion. Your access may be blocked, suspended or terminated at any time and for any reason, including violation of these terms of service, disruption of access to other users or networks or to otherwise protect us, our users, or other third parties.
The connection is available to your device only when it is within wireless range of our access points or in your office or a conference room through an Ethernet cable to a data network port. The connection may be subject to unavailability, including by reason of emergencies, service failures, transmission, equipment or network problems or limitations, interference, signal strength, and maintenance and repair.
We are not responsible for any interruptions or performance issues with the connection, nor the underlying network(s), transmission equipment and systems. Network speed will vary based on your device configuration, location, compression, network congestion and other factors. You are solely responsible for any devices, software, or other materials necessary for use of the connection.
Broadband Internet bandwidth
If 26 West Incubator determines that Licensee’s bandwidth is in excess of normal, or if Licensee determines that additional bandwidth is required, or if Licensee installs equipment requiring bandwidth in excess of standard, we may arrange for separate provision, sub-metering and/or direct billing (based on a good faith estimate) of any related internet service costs thereby incurred for services provided by 26 West Incubator and/or SCF.
Technology & Software
26 West Incubator uses third-party software platforms to conduct operations and provide services. In order to utilize all of the functionalities offered by us, it may be necessary to install software onto your computer, tablet, mobile device or other electronic equipment. Use of the third-party software is to be used at Licensee’s discretion and risk.
Licensee is solely responsible for adequate protection and back up of the data and equipment used in connection with any of the systems or software. 26 West Incubator will not be liable for any damages that you may suffer in connection with downloading, installing, using, modifying or distributing such software. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from us shall create any warranty for the software. There is no guarantee of access to the software(s) or services.
From time to time, and at your request, we may also provide you with technical support to troubleshoot problems that you may have in trying to access certain functionalities, such as printing or accessing the Internet. You agree to release us and our agents or affiliates from any and all damages that may arise out of performing such technical support. You further recognize that we offer no express or implied warranties regarding the successful outcome of such technical support.
Device and Data Security/Privacy
You acknowledge that no data network or internet-based communication is 100% secure, such communications could be intercepted by equipment and software and no such communication should be considered private or protected.
Licensee is responsible for maintaining their own device digital and physical security, security software and virus/malware protection. 26 West Incubator does not guarantee privacy or security with respect to internet connections, networks, telecommunications systems or information processing systems (including any stored computer files, email messages and voice messages). Licensee is solely responsible for adequate protection and backup of the data and equipment used in conjunction with this Agreement and SCF 26 West Incubator spaces.
You are prohibited from accessing or using (or attempting to access or use) our network or services for or taking any action online that violates any applicable law or regulation or that could harm us or any third party or interfere with the operation of the network to others.
You may not:
- upload or transmit through the connection or software any computer viruses, worms, spam or anything else designed to interfere with, disrupt, or bypass the normal operating procedures of devices or the network;
- take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our network or infrastructure or that violates or threatens our system or network security or that of our users or any third parties, including any attempt to circumvent any restrictions imposed on your access to or use of the connection or our websites;
- use the connection or services to infringe or violate the intellectual property rights or proprietary rights of any third party;
- share your IP address or ISP Internet connection or account logins with anyone;
- reproduce, re-transmit, disseminate, or resell the network connection or authorize any other individual or entity to use the network connection, whether for profit or not, without our express written permission;
- upload, share, host, display, modify, publish, update or transmit information of the following nature:
- Information which is grossly harmful, harassing, blasphemous, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, libelous, hateful or otherwise unlawful in any manner;
- Information which encourages or relates to illicit activity including money laundering, gambling or drug use;
- Information which may harm minors in any way;
- Information which incites the commission of an offense or which prevents the investigation if any offense.
Breaching “Prohibited Uses” may result in civil or criminal liability. We may report such breaches to relevant law enforcement authorities and co-operate with those authorities to prosecute users who violate these terms. We have the right, but not the obligation, to suspend or terminate your access and use of the connection and other services we may provide you and to block or remove any communications or materials transmitted through the connection or services.
